Your Voices with Your Peer Neighborhood Leaders
Established in 1975, Denver INC (Inter Neighborhood Cooperation) is a voluntary, non-profit coalition of representatives from Denver’s registered neighborhood organizations (RNO's), city agencies and others that gather to promote responsible city change and growth for Denver. Membership represents over two-thirds of Denver's households. We focus on citizen education/advocacy and fair-balance presentations on issues impacting Denver residents.
Our Purpose:
- Bring
together the independent neighborhood organizations of Denver in a
coalition to represent the interests of neighborhoods and to collectively
address issues of common interest, especially those having citywide impact
- Provide
information to neighborhoods concerning organizing, registering with the
city, and dealing effectively with city agencies
- Adhere
to the principles of democracy and openness, and encourage voting by
partnering with Denver TV8 to host non-partisan educational candidate and
ballot initiative forums
- Take
an active role in working with city government, local schools and others
in shaping Denver’s future
We tackle issues such as being included to the Olympic bid board, saving our open spaces, addresses health concerns related to I70 expansion, relevant transportation and marijuana consumption regulations.
