Office of Economic Development to Report
on 2015 HUD Activities, Invite Public Comment
Public meeting planned for Thursday, March 24

DENVER, CO ­— Tuesday, March 8, 2016 — The City and County of Denver’s Office of Economic Development will report on the 2015 accomplishments of its Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs at a public meeting on Thursday, March 24, from
3-4:30 p.m. at the Wellington Webb Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave., Room 4.G.2.

The report, officially known as the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), provides details on the effectiveness of housing, economic development, public service and neighborhood facilities programs funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs.

The draft CAPER document will be available for a 15-day public comment period beginning March 16, 2016 at www.denvergov.org/oed.

HUD’s goals are to provide decent housing, provide a suitable living environment and expand economic opportunities. Principal beneficiaries are extremely low to middle-income residents.
