We have recently experienced several burglaries in the neighborhoods and want to make you aware of. The areas affected are 17th to 7th and Albion to Xenia. Two have occurred east of Syracuse and the rest have happened west of Pontiac.
Most recently we have had crimes off 11th & Kearney and 11th & Kameria St.

They do have one suspect who is under investigation but suspect others out there not associated with him. The method most common are breaking or forcing a window open, kicking in back doors. In some of the incidents there have been residents at home and suspects have fled after grabbing something.
Please have neighbors report suspicious people in the neighborhood, and if they can do safely, snap a photo of them with a cell phone to share with police. If someone does come to the door make sure that the residents make some kind of noise to prevent the person from coming inside. Please leave porch and back yard lights on at night. You can call 911 if immediate threat or 720.913.2000 for a non-emergency call to report suspicious activity.
