The UN defines "superaged" as a population where a fifth
is past 65 years old and the amount of people who are of working age is
shrinking. By 2026, 17 states, including Florida, will fall into this
demographic category, the US Census Bureau says, and the trend will slow
states' economic growth and increase their expenditures.
