Denver May Events

Whether it's 16th St. Mall, the Ballpark neighborhood or the Plaza at Union Station, Denver's downtown is brimming with events. Our monthly downtown Denver newsletter is designed to inform Mile High City businesses in downtown about the awesome events we host in our own front yard in Civic Center Park, Skyline Park and across Downtown. And we'll have some fun info on commercial film production in Denver too!

May 26, 2:30-9:30 PM

There are so many things to love about Denver, not the least of which are all the amazing music festivals and concerts that are scheduled for this summer!

Kicking off a season of great music events, is the annual Denver Day of Rock festival which will feature FIVE stages of live music along the 16th Street Mall on May 26. The event is free to attend and benefits Amp the Cause, a local Denver non-profit. Learn more about Amp the Cause here

Fun fact, Mayor Michael B. Hancok's wife will be performing at 3:50 pm on the Curtis Street Stage with her band, the Mary Louise Lee Band! Additional information about the event and the lineup of music can be found here

Cinco de Mayo, Celebrate Culture Festival and Pararde

May 5-6, 10 AM - 8 PM

On May 5, 1862, in the town of Puebla, the outnumbered Mexican army defeated French forces providing the momentum and national confidence to drive foreign power from their country.

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the tradition of freedom and acknowledges the beauty of Latino culture. Join the celebration which includes a community parade, 3 stages with live music and dance performances, and plenty of vendors & exhibitors....and did we mention the contests? The Chihuahua Races, Taco Eating Contests and Lowrider Car Show are not to be missed.
