Aging Population Emergency Preparedness Program

Emergency Preparedness For the Aging Population

Disasters can be particularly disruptive to the daily living of older adults and their caregivers. Chronic conditions that exist prior to an emergency can be exacerbated, equipment damaged or lost, and services or treatments interrupted, causing additional harm or stress.

The Emergency Preparedness Training is interactive training to educate the Aging Population basic emergency planning skills they can share with their friends and family. The training will include family and home emergency preparedness, communications planning, sheltering, pet care and more! Participants will leave this event knowing what to do in an emergency.
